Our Story
The Nadley family journey began in 1978, when John and Karen Nadley opened J & J Auto Repairs in Madison Heights, Michigan. From childhood, Joe and Dawn grew up immersed in the auto repair world, learning firsthand the values of hard work, trust, and craftsmanship.
In 1998, the family expanded to a second facility at 14290 23 Mile Road. Following their parents’ retirement in 2002, Joe pursued his career as an auto body technician, working with five major dealerships (General Motors, Ford, Chrysler, Toyota, and Volkswagen) as well as independent shops. This gave him broad manufacturer expertise, advanced skills, and a reputation for hands-on excellence.
Meanwhile, Dawn built a career in the legal field, while continuing her technical training in collision repair. She achieved Platinum I-CAR Certification, proving her dedication to staying ahead in industry standards and innovations.
In combining their strengths, Joe and Dawn brought the Nadley tradition back to 14290 23 Mile Road, launching JD’s Macomb Auto Collision, Inc. — a shop that is family-built and customer-focused.
